Hebden Bridge Arts is preparing a new production of The Man Who Planted Trees for performance in Hebden Bridge and Elland in July as part of Calderdale’s Year of Culture.
Together with Time Out we are offering some relaxed taster drama workshops during the Easter holidays where you can find out more about the story, explore your creative side, and at the end find out about being part of the performance as part of the community company.
These creative sessions, led by director Andy Barry, will include drama games, puppetry-play and an introduction to the story. No experience is necessary, participation in a session is free and everyone is welcome!
At the end of the taster session there will be a chance to find out more about how to get involved in the community company of The Man Who Planted Trees and express your interest. For this reason we recommend you collect your child in person at the end of the session. If your child is interested in getting involved we will need to take a headshot photo of them, for the director's benefit.
Please note The Man Who Planted Trees is a professional production. The community company is a volunteer opportunity but travel expenses will be paid, and refreshments provided.
This workshop is ticketed, and donations at time of booking welcome. Places are limited so please only sign up to one session. You will be asked to confirm your attendance the day before the session, as we will operate a waiting list if the session is oversubscribed.
This session is taking place at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, HX7 7BY. Other taster sessions can be found at: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/hebdenbridgearts
