Cultural Programme Manager

I’m managing the Year of Culture and the CultureDale team. I’m very proud to say that we that we have a wealth of talent in Calderdale. Not only have our cultural organisations and creatives come forward, organisations, businesses, and residents across the borough have been overflowing with ideas and enthusiasm. We’re all very lucky to be working with you all to deliver a year to remember.

Joanna Fullman

Community Engagement Officer

My role in the Year of Culture as Community Engagement Officer is to actively involve residents and cultural sector organisations in CultureDale. CultureDale is about bringing people together to celebrate, entertain and inspire and I am looking forward to hearing people’s ideas and bringing people together to make them happen in 2024.

Philip Stephenson

Festival and Outdoor Events Manager

My role is more about making ideas happen a sort of nuts and bolts role in the Culturedale Team, we have a fantastic number of community organisations, artists and performers within Calderdale and my aim is to give them the best showcase we can during the year of culture and hopefully beyond.

Katie Starr

Cultural Programme Support Officer

My role is largely back of house, keeping CultureDale running administratively. I’ve got financial and reporting responsibilities, and I’ll be collating feedback so the team can use it to improve the programme. I believe in the transformative power of culture and I’m excited to see the impact of our events.

Rachel Lappin

Anne Lister Programme Co-ordinator

In my role I am looking forward to continuing to promote Halifax’s most famous daughter, Anne Lister, to people: from Halifax town centre throughout Calderdale, and all across the world – and to share this remarkable woman with people whether they know about her yet or not! Also to be part of the huge year-long celebration of Calderdale’s 50th anniversary and all that is so great about this wonderful area.

Simon Duckenfield

Community Sport Development Officer

Simon will be bringing everything sports related to the Year of Culture. He will be ensuring that #CYOC24 shines a light on sports clubs & community groups that are doing incredible work around Calderdale. Offering support, club development & supporting events.

Louis Newstead

National Management Trainee

Having joined the Council through the National Graduate Development Programme, my role is geared around gaining a broad variety of experience in Cultural Services. Currently, my work includes developing and maintaining the CultureDale website, working with our marketing team and external partnerships, and helping with external evaluation.

Paige Clayton

Marketing Manager

I am the Director of the social media agency, Social Folk. My role within the CultureDale project is to manage the digital marketing for CYOC24. From email marketing, interactive blogs and social media campaigns. My team will be collaborating closely with the Calderdale community to create some incredible content to promote the unique projects that CYOC24 has to offer.

Jade Farnell

Social Media Manager

I am the team manager at Social Folk and will be overseeing the social media marketing campaign for the CultureDale project. I will also be providing training and support for creatives & businesses in Calderdale throughout The Year of Culture. I'm looking forward to finding out more about what Calderdale has to offer through collaborative creative projects.

Tyla Steele

Social Media Assistant

My role within CultureDale is to support the marketing team with Social Media management, creative campaigns & content creation. I enjoy bringing creative concepts to the project and keeping up to date with the latest trends. I'm excited to see the community collaborate in a unique way to form CYOC24!
