Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade: Water, Woods and Wilderness - The Calderdale Way!

Let’s celebrate the summertime together! If you fancy dancing through the streets with us, here are some dates for your diary.

We are running four public workshops:

Saturday 7 June 10.30am–1pm AND 3–5.30pm
Sunday 8 June 10.30am–1pm AND 3–5.30pm
Saturday 14 June 10.30am–1pm AND 3–5.30pm
Sunday 15 June 10.30am–1pm AND 3–5.30pm

Our regulars will know that you’ll probably need at least two sessions to make a spectacular costume from scratch. If you’ve not been before, then you’re in for a treat. The workshops are filled with inspiration, and all the materials and equipment you’ll need to make yourself look amazing on parade day.

We’ll have a team of artists ready to help you get creative, whether you’re a complete newbie or a professional artist. Expect the sessions to be BUSY and probably very silly.

Entry to the open workshops is by a suggested donation of £5 per person for the first session and £1 per person for further visits. Please pay if you can, but don’t worry if you can’t!

We can cover the rest of the workshop costs because of the generosity of our lovely community. Every year we have audiences who prefer to enjoy watching the parade and happily donate to help make it all possible.
