Vintage Sewing Machines: Treadle Through Time

Take in the beauty and ingenuity of a selection of sewing machines manufactured c1869 – 1955, with local Vintage Sewing Machine enthusiast Jeanette Spriggs, and see how key features developed at the hands of skilled engineers to create models still much sort after today.

The event will showcase vintage sewing machines manufactured both locally and afar, including the curvaceous Jones Serpentine from Manchester, a well-travelled Little Wanzer from Canada, an 1870’s Willcox and Gibbs copy from Germany and the Scottish made much sought-after Singer 221k and Singer 201k.
