The following event is hosted by Turquoise Arts CIC:
Saturday 25th October 10.30am - 2.30pm
Meet at Withens Clough car park for a gentle walk around the reservoir, where we’ll gather information and material about the surrounding landscape using observation, field notes and photos. Afterwards, at a follow-up writing workshop at St Johns in the Wilderness (Cragg Vale) additional materials and writing exercises will help us to produce poems and phrases using invented and local language. We would like to include some of these in a ‘Calderdale Peat Glossary’.
- Bring a notepad and pen
- There will be a break between the walk and workshop, Hinchcliffe pub is nearby or bring a packed lunch.
- Light refreshments provided.
