Book our new CultureDale Hub for your activity!

After the success of our previous CultureDale Hub as a community space for the Anne Lister Festival and Memorial Weekend, as well as hosting multiple exhibitions throughout Calderdale's 2024 Year of Culture, we have now opened a new space for community organisations or individuals to book as a venue for their cultural, arts, or heritage activities in Halifax!

The new hub features running water, electricity, a disabled access toilet, comfortable furniture, a stage and seating area, and other amenities such as a projector and sound equipment. It is conveniently located in the centre of Halifax at Northgate house - just opposite Princess Buildings and around the corner from Hatch Brunch House. While works may still continue as we seek to improve the hub's facilities, the space is now open for booking.

Our aim is to provide the community with an accessible and reasonably-priced venue to host exhibitions, workshops, and other activity that supports the cultural fabric of Calderdale.

The cost of hiring the Hub is £200 per day during normal opening hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. For one-off events there will be a rate of £30 per hour to cover staffing costs, and this will also apply to any additional hours outside of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
