POEM & SHORT STORY COMPETITION


We invite you to take part in our Refugee Week writing competition. This year’s theme is “Courage.” Write a poem or short story that shows what courage means to you. Being brave, starting something new, helping others, or facing challenges with hope. Use your creativity to share a message of strength and bravery.


HOW TO TAKE PART

This competition is open to primary school students aged 8-10, high school students aged 11-17, and college students aged 17-25.

Fill in the form below leaving your information and entry - short stories should be between 500 - 1,000 words. Deadline 13 April 2026!

If you are submitting your entry through your school, make sure to include your school name and teacher's name so that we can let you know if you've won! Otherwise, leave your (or your parent/guardian's email) so we can get in touch.
