Halifax
September 13, 2026
TIME:
11:00am

Discover the remarkable story of Dean Clough, from its origins as one of the world’s largest Victorian textile mills to its vibrant life today. This 90 minute walking tour explores the buildings, people and industries that shaped this Grade II listed site, including the influential Crossley family and future focused Hall family, both woven into its history.

Along the way, we’ll uncover how manufacturing transformed Halifax and see how Dean Clough has been reinvented as a thriving centre for business, culture, hospitality and the arts.

Halifax Heritage Tours CIC has been set up and is run by volunteers who are passionate about the heritage of 'Magic Halifax'.

Monies generated by ticket sales and donations will be put towards community and education projects to promote and preserve the heritage of Halifax. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult. All walk leaders are DBS certified.
