Welcome to Halifax! Whether you have lived here all your life or it is your first time here and you want to orientate yourself around town through the buildings and stories of our history, join us for a fascinating insight into Halifax Heritage.

Come for a walk with a local guide, pointing out buildings and places previously unknown to you and hearing interesting details from the Medieval, Georgian and Victorian eras through to more modern times! Learn about the philanthropists and industrialists who shaped the heritage of Halifax through generations and encounter some of the listed buildings, including the Town Hall and the Piece Hall, which they left as their legacy.

Tours start/end outside DiscoverHalifax, 10, The Square, Woolshops, HX1 1RJ.  Please note that this is a circular walk, starting uphill so ensure you wear suitable footwear. Duration approximately 1½ to 2 hours. Please note any children booked on the tour must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket for the event and remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian at all times.

Halifax Heritage Tours CIC has been set up and is run by volunteers who are passionate about the heritage of 'Magic Halifax'.
