In 1817, Branwell Bronte was born at Thornton, a few miles from Halifax. His sisters were to achieve worldwide fame, but Branwell had poems published in Halifax long before they went into print. By no means as successful as his sisters in the literary field, he showed great talent; but what went wrong?  David Glover takes a look at this talented but flawed young man, and invites you to discover his acquaintances in the Halifax area.
